Jamshedpur: Indian Railway is organizing an essay competition based on train journey. The Railway Board has invited entries from individuals by 30th August. The essays should describe the train journey of the writer and their experience as a rail passenger. They should be sent to the Director of Rajbhasha departmentof the Railway Board. The first prize will carry a cash award of Rs 10,000 while the second and third prizes will have a cash award of Rs 8000 and Rs 6000 respectively. Next five entries will be entitled to cash prize of Rs 4000 each. Sources said the Railways have planned the competition with the view to improve passenger services on the basis of experiences shared by the common man.
