Kolkata, August 12: Dr. Man Singh, Director General of Railway Health Services, Railway Board, visited the South Eastern Railway Central Hospital in Garden Reach today, marking a significant step forward in railway healthcare facilities.
During his visit, Dr. Singh inaugurated a state-of-the-art Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the hospital. This new unit is set to provide round-the-clock care for sick and preterm infants, enhancing the hospital’s capability to handle complex neonatal cases.
The Director General conducted a comprehensive review of the performance of both Central and Divisional Hospitals under the South Eastern Railway. He inspected various clinics and wards, expressing satisfaction with the available infrastructure and medical facilities.
Accompanying Dr. Singh were several high-ranking officials, including Anil Kumar Mishra, General Manager of South Eastern Railway, Dr. M. Ravindran, Principal Executive Director (Health) of Railway Board, and Dr. Anjana Malhotra, Principal Chief Medical Director, along with other senior doctors and department heads.
