Noamundi: A railway employee, identified as Gajanand Dubey, 40, posted at Barajamda railway station died in a road accident on Friday evening after being hit by a heavy vehicle.
The driver Bir Singh was nabbed by the public and handed over to the police. The vehicle belonged to Naveen Road Line transport company Mango Jamshedpur. The vehicle was on its way from Usha martin Bokna Plot carrying iron ore to Usha Martin Plant.
This is the fifth fatal accident in the last one month. A mob blocked the road and shouted slogans against the police.
They put up a demonstration on the main road. Police officials tried to pacifry the mob but all their efforts went in vain.
