Inspects Noamundi station, passenger amenities, meets rail employees
Jamshedpur: Railway Board chairman Ashwini Lohani visited Chakradharpur Railway Division on Sunday. He was welcomed by Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Chhatrasal Singh and other senior railway officials. Several women staff were also present to welcome him.
The chairman inspected Noamundi station along with other railway officials in an inspection special train. He inspected rail lines, signals, railway level crossings, rail bridges, third line and railway stations on his way.
Lohani got down at Talaburu station and inspected passenger amenities. The DRM informed him that Talaburu is a C Grade railway station. Thereafter, Lohani left for Noamundi station where he gave shoes, helmets and raincoats to 30 railway trackmen.
The chairman spoke to trackmen and sought their suggestions on railway safety and other issues. He also inspected the Rapid Loading System of Tata Steel in Noamundi, Sabal Centre For Abilities and Hill Top. He also had a photo session with Tata Steel officials at the Hill Top.
