Ranchi, Dec 6: A day after terror strikes in Jammu and Kashmir, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi blamed Narendra Modi led BJP government for rising militant activities in Kashmir.
“During the ten years of UPA government rule 4.5 lakh tourists flocked the valley but as soon as BJP came to power the terrorist activities have increased”.
Rahul was addressing an election rally at Chandve Maidan in Kanke assembly area under Ranchi District ahead of the third phase of assembly elections scheduled for December 9.
Congress VP further said that Modi before becoming the PM had promised the people of the country that will give befitting reply to China and Pakistan but today instead of tourists, terrorist are ruling Kashmir.
Accusing BJP of playing caste politics, Rahul said that wherever elections are held first they make people of one religion fight with another and after spreading violence the elections are held in the state.
“Whereever he (Modi) goes during the elections, whether it is Maharashtra, Delhi or UP, before the polls, there will surely be incidents of violence. He will ensure that one religion is pitted against another religion and then the election follows,” he said.
At Gola under Ramgarh Assembly area, Gandhi asked what happened to Modi’s claims in the run up to the Lok Sabha polls that he will show China and Pakistan (India’s strength) when he becomes PM. Accusing Modi of making “false promises” of bringing back black money within 100 days of coming to power, he said the country is asking when the poor will get Rs.15 lakh as declared by the BJP leader.
Dubbing BJP as a “one man party”, Gandhi said “each and every decision” is taken by Modi. The Prime Minister wants to bring agriculture technology from Australia “but the fact is that the Indian farmer needs no foreign technology as they know everything about cultivation and only need support from the government”.
The Congress vice president promised 24-hour power supply to farmers in the state and that all villages would be connected with roads.
Taking a dig at PM Modi, Rahul counted several achievements of ten years of UPA rule adding that BJP government led by Modi had made several promises ahead of the Lok Sabha elections but all their promises have flopped and now they are making the people of the country sweep the roads. Modi again through false promises want to rule Jharkhand.
