Ranchi : Jharkhand CM Raghuvar Das met PM Modi and briefed him about the necessities of the state and the discussed the areas of work needed to make Jharkhand a developed state.
Das apprised him of the deficient financial and infrastructure status of the state. He was with the PM for about an hour where he discussed about the development plans. The Prime Minister assured Das of all support from the centre.
Coming out from the meeting, Das while talking to the media representatives said that his meeting with the Prime Minister was very positive and he has assured all possible support from the central government particularly for development of infrastructure, roads, electricity and irrigation.
He said that the PM has advised to work honestly for the state and that he would do his best to accomplish all the dreams of the people of his state.
He told reporters that Prime Minister Modi has given a big responsibility to a labour. I came here to thank the respected Prime Minister. It was a courtesy visit, where I made him aware of the condition of the state, especially the financial and revenue condition,” said Das.
Prior to meeting Modi , Das met former prime minister Atal Bihari Bajpai for his blessings.
Das met several central ministers to discuss Jharkhand issues. Minister for Energy and Power PiyushGoel informed that a delegation of officials will visit Jharkhand on 7th January where they look into the problems of electricity and coal mining faced by the Jharkhand government.
