Raghubar receives heroic welcome in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur : With Raghubar Das becoming the National Vice President of the BJP, the mood amongst the saffron party workers in Jamshedpur, his hometown, is upbeat.

Party workers erupted into celebration sooner local Jamshedpur East MLA returned to Jamshedpur on Sunday. Prior to this received a heroic welcome on his arrival in the city party activities raised slogans in his favour and garlanded when he arrived near Pardih Kali Mandir.

Leaders of district BJP party along with hundreds of youth activists garlanded him and congratulated him for his success. They said that he was the only leader from the State in the party to bag the big post and it is really a matter of pride.

Das received warm welcome at places like Kapali, Pardih, and Haladgoda, situated on the outskirts of the city. On every corner activists were seen standing to express their gratitude.

Jamshedpur East , the constituency presently represented by Das, virtually turned into a partying zone with people queuing up at his residence at Sidhgora.

Das is known for his firebrand politics and, the one who is credited for ensuring mass development.

�Some people have run hereditary politics for decades together and never cared for the development. We want to unite the party workers and ensure a victory of BJP in Jharkhand too. The public are waiting for a change in the State after formation of new Government,� said Das.

No dobut Raghuwar Das has a good track record. In 2005 elections Das received 52.96 per cent votes while Congress opponent Ramashray Prasad 38 per cent in the year 2000 BJP State president had received 63.9 per cent votes and K.P. Singh of Congress Party only 20.34 per cent.

Das said that he has served the people of Jamshedpur with heart and will continue to do so. He is the only member from Jharkhand in the Shah squad that was announced on Saturday.

Addressing the media here, Das said on the occasion that his party was �great�, which can give due respect to a labourer level worker. �I am born in a labourer�s family. Worker at block and district levels and now I have received this honour today.

It is proved today that BJP gives respect to all its workers. My appointment will enthuse the party workers. Today I can say that the party is great unlike others,� Das said. He said that the workers will unite to bring BJP to power in Jharkhand.

�Raghubar Das has made debut in the national politics in a style but at the same time he has scored a point over the rivals in the party who have been castigating him as a non-tribal leader with little or no influence on the tribal section,� noted Anil Modi Jamshedpur district spokesperson of BJP.

He went on to add that the appointment of Das as the national vice-president of BJP will increase his stature as he is the only face from Jharkhand to have been inducted in the national team of BJP president Amit Shah.
