Ranchi, July 31: Chief Minister Raghubar Das suspended the Garhwa DDC Umashankar Prasad J.A.S. & ordered for Departmental Proceedings.
Mr. Prasad is accused of misusing his position during his posting as DTO Hazaribag. He has been charged for taking more money than the Govt. rate of driving license, smart card, vehicle registration & transport tax.
He was taken into custody on 21 March 2015. He had been suspended since then. After getting bail from
High Court, he had applied for rejoining. During suspension period he will get only subsistence allowance
& his headquarters will be Divisional Commissioner Office, Hazaribag.
In the same line, Chief Minister suspended Vijay Kerketta, BDO , Kairo, Lohardaga (at the time of incident) for his involvement in sexual harassment & ordered for Departmental Proceedings.
Kerketta is still absconding & case no. 93/2014, GR 299/2014 are registered at Lohardaga Women Police
Station.
He is accused of harassing a woman sexually in the name of marriage who had come to take caste &
income certificates.
