Raghubar Das rates Union Budget 10/10

Ranchi, Feb. 29: Congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union finance minister Arun Jaitely for presenting a pro-people and pro-poor Union Budget for 2016-17, Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the Budget will go a long way in alleviating the woes of the farmers and the poor.

�We will be able to face the challenges of development with our infrastructural reforms. He termed it a �development based budget�,� he said.

The infrastructural expenses will create scope for employment and fulfill the concept of welfare government. He said that bio-farming, irrigation, animal husbandry, MGNAREGA and panchayats are given special attention and special funds are provisioned for them which will improve the economy of rural India.

Das said that the government has intended to double the income of farmers by 2022, which will balance the urban and rural development. He gave the finance minister 10 out of 10 marks for presenting such a nice budget.

He said that the service class will be benefitted with maximizing the income tax slab from 24 thousand to 60 under house rent exemption.

Referring to Skill India, buffer stocks to control black marketing of pulses, provisioning Rs. 9,000 crore for Clean India, Rs. 38,500 crore for MGNAREGA, Rs 80 lakhs for every village panchayat, electricity to every village and opening 3,000 medical stores providing comparatively cheap medicine, the CM said that these are some of remarkable steps taken by the Union government.
