Jamshedpur, April 4: Former Chief Minister and National Vice President of BJP, Raghubar Das participated as chief guest at various Sarhul Puja venues and offered prayers to Mother Nature. Under the aegis of Central Sarhul Puja Committee and Adivasi Oraon Samaj Samiti processions were taken out with participants dancing and singing in traditional manner, Raghubar Das offered prayers at the Chalan Mandap at Oraon Basti in Sitaramdera organized by the Central Sarhul Puja Committee and highlighted the importance of Sarhul celebration among the people present. On this occasion people from Oraon, Ho, Munda, Bhuinya, Turi, Mukhi, Kalindi samaj besides other tribal communities participated in Sarhul festivities.

The former Chief Minister offered milk and flowers to the Sarna deity at the Chalan Mandap of Adivasi Oraon Samaj Samiti and offered prayers along with office bearers of the committee including Anup Toppo, Bindu Pahan, Karme Toppo, Raju Khalko, Pushpa Tirkey, Nadia Koya and Geeta Koya. In Sitaramdera, Raghubar Das offered prayers at Chala Mandap and played the tribal Munda percussion instrument, Mandar. Rakesh Oraon, Bablu Khalko, Rajan Kujur, Nandlal Patar etc. were present in the program organized by Central Sarhul Puja Committee. BJP Mahanagar President Gunjan Yadav along with Ramesh Nag, Suresh Sharma, Bablu Gope accompanied Raghubar Das on the occasion of Sarhul Utsav.
