Jamshedpur, Nov 9: A meeting of the Surya Mandir Committee was convened at Sidgora on Monday which was presided by the Committee trustee Chandragupt Singh. The meeting decided that Chhat would be observed at the Surya Mandir Chhat Ghat as per protocols released by the state government and arrangements would be made accordingly. The BJM members present in the meeting took a swipe at former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das who had announced that only 400 coupons would be distributed among devotees to observed rituals at the Surya Mandir Chhat Ghat. They questioned his authority on passing such remarks when he was not a part of the government. they said that such rules should not be dictated before the state government’s directives are announced and claimed that Das’ highhanded ruling was a poor reflection of the district administration. The BJM members said that Raghubar Das was trying to mislead the people by his off handed remarks and demanded that the administration takes punitive measures against such people.
It may be mentioned here that on November 4 had inspected the Surya Mandir Chhat Ghat and directed officials regarding cleaning of the Chhat Ghats.
Among those present in the meeting included Sanjiv Acharya, Ramnarayan Sharma, Ajay Sinha, Hareram Singh, Sudhir Singh, Beauty Tiwary, Vijay Narayan, Ashok Kumar, Vandana Namta, Rajesh Jha, Putul Singh, Mrityunjay Pandey, Satish Gupta, Santosh Yadav, Devendra Singh Marwah, Premchand, Ganesh Chandra, Santosh, Vikas Kamath, Gautam Dhar, Vijay Rao and other members of the committee.
