Ranchi, Sept 1: Laying stress on open auction of mines other than coal, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that mining is a big means of employment in Jharkhand & this sector should be paid due attention.
The state govt. is ready to extend help to Ministry of Mining. He said it while talking to Union Mines Secretary B. Kumar at Project Building in Ranchi on Tuesday.
During the courtesy meet, Mines Secretary B. Kumar told the Chief Minister that mining is the matter of State & coal, iron ore, copper, bauxite & other minerals are to be auctioned by the State.
He intimated the CM about the development of exploration in the state & sought assurance from the govt.
Also present during the meet was Chief Secretary Rajiv Gauba, Principal Secretary to the CM Sanjay Kumar & Principal Secretary, Mining & Geology A. K. Satpathi.
