Raghubar and Saryu camps celebrate Mahashivaratri in Surya Mandir

Jamshedpur : Similar on the lines of Diwali and Chhath, Mahashivratri was celebrated on Thursday at Surya temple in Sidgora. For this, the supporters of Saryu Roy and Raghubar Das made parallel preparations. Flowers, belts and worship materials were made available free of cost to the devotees who came to worship on Mahashivaratri by people present in both camps. However, on Thursday, it was seen that in the battle of political supremacy, devotees are also suffering.

There are also many devotees who do not want to be seen with any group. It is a problem for them to go to the temple. ” If we go here, the people of the city will get angry, it is better that they do not go to the temple. It was better to worship at home or elsewhere and many devotees did the same,” said a devotee.

Saryu supporters want Raghubar supporters to give up on their own, while Raghubar supporters believe that we have been serving the temple for so many years, so how to leave it so easily. After the recent dispute, the district administration had deputed magistrates and police forces in the Sun Temple complex in view of the clashes between the two camps in the last few days.

Additional police force was also deputed on Thursday, although there was no confrontation between the two camps during this period.
