Shenzhen (China), Jan 6 (IANS) Polish Agnieszka Radwanska advanced to the quarter-finals of the Shenzhen tennis tournament after beating Chinese Shuai Zhang 6-1, 7-5 here on Wednesday.
Radwanska only took 70 minutes to defeat her opponent, and will face Chinese Qiang Wang for a place in the semi-finals, reports Efe.
Along with Radwanska, a favourite of the China tournament, Canadian Eugenie Bouchard advanced to the quarter-finals by beating American Nicole Gibbs 6-4 and 6-2.
However, Romanians Irina-Camelia Begu and Monica Niculescu and Kazakhstani Zarina Diyas were eliminated in the second round.
