Jamshedpur : Tagore Society is organizing three-day of Rabindra Sangeet Sammelan. As many as 12 artistes, including four from neighboring Bangladesh, are performing at Sakchi’s Rabindra Bhavan.
From Kolkata Monomoy Bhattacharjee, Srikanto Acharya, Sasha Ghoshal, Jayati Chakrabarty, Kamalini Mukherjee, Shreya Guhathakurta and Jayati Chakrabarty are participating while, Aditi Mohsin, Azizur Rahman Tuhin, Laisa Ahmed Lisa and Rezwana Choudhury Bannya are from Bangladesh. The lone performer from Jharkhand is Chandana Chowdhury.
Society secretary Ashis Choudhury said that the annual event is organised to pay tribute to the Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore.
Over the years, well-known exponents of Rabindra Sangeet have been participating. In addition, 40 paintings by students of Tagore School of Arts will be on display during the event.
Tagore Society has been hosting Rabindra Sangeet Sammelan since 1974.
