Quit orthodoxy and build toilets: DC Chhavi Ranjan

Seraikela: Seraikela-Kharsawan Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan on Thursday appealed to all women of rural areas to take a pledge to get a toilet constructed in their households. He said those facing difficulty in getting the toilets constructed should approach the district administration to remove all roadblocks. He said changing one’s orthodox style of thinking could work wonders and result in fast development of the society.

The DC was speaking on the occasion of a block level Swachhata awareness cum felicitation ceremony organized in Rajnagar block office under Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural). He said water connection would be provided in future to all households having toilets. He said the Gram Pradhan and Mukhiyas have been directed to collect data on toilet construction in the rural households.

Also present on the occasion, Deputy Development Commissioner Akansha Ranjan said only public cooperation could expedite toilet construction work in the district. She made an appeal to all public representatives to make toilet construction a personal mission.

Other dignitaries present during the programme included ADC Kunj Bihari Pandey and Zila Parishad member Chamu Murmu.
