Jamshedpur, July 24: Purva Sainik Seva Parishad on Sunday organised a programme in honour of the Kargil war martyrs and their family members.
The function began with the garlanding of the bust of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Guest for the occasion were Alok Yadav, regional general manager of Bank of India, Motivational Guru Chandreshwar Khan and BJP state spokesperson Amarpreet Singh Kale.
Giving the introductory speech, Varun Kumar remembered the bravery of Indian soldiers during the Kargil war and invoked that the fight for the rights of the soldiers will continue.
The soldiers who were felicitated included Manik Varda, Suberdar Krishna Mohan SIngh, Satyendra SIngh, Tapas Majumdar, Birju Kumar by the guests.
This was followed by a samman yatra which was flagged off by the guests. The open vehicle traversed through various areas were people shouted slogans ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Kargil ke hero amar rahe’.
The vehicle which was flagged off from Aam Bagan ground traversed through Sakchi, Agrico, Bhuiyadih, Mango Bus Stand, Shitla Mandir before culminating at Aam Bagan ground.
During the Kargil Vijay Diwas function, fireworks were displayed and Prasad were distributed.
The event was headed by Colonel KV Nayar while district general secretary Sushil Singh hosted the program.
