SER announces stoppage of trains in new stations

Jamshedpur, July 15: In an effort to enhance the convenience of passengers, South Eastern Railway ( SER) announced the provision of stoppages for certain trains at Barabhum, Santaldih, Jhalida, and Kotshila stations. The stoppages will be implemented as per the following dates until further notice. This decision aims to facilitate smoother travel experiences for commuters on these train routes.

Stoppage of Trains at Barabhum: Train Number 12801- Puri-New Delhi Express, with the journey commencing from 16 July. Train Number 12802-New Delhi-Puri Express, with the journey commencing from 16th July. Stoppage of Trains at Santaldih: Train Number 13301 – Dhanbad-Tatanagar Express, with the journey commencing from 17 July. Train Number 13302 – Tatanagar-Dhanbad Express, with the journey commencing from 17 July. Stoppage of Trains at Jhalida: Train Number 13351 – Dhanbad-Alappuzha Express, with the journey commencing from 17 July. Train Number 13352 – Alappuzha-Dhanbad Express, with the journey commencing from 15 July .

These additional stoppages at Barabhum, Santaldih, Jhalida, and Kotshila stations will allow passengers traveling on the specified train services to conveniently board and disembark at these locations. The decision is expected to benefit a significant number of commuters who rely on these trains for their transportation needs.

Rajesh Kumar said: “I regularly travel on the Puri-New Delhi Express, and the addition of a stoppage at Barabhum has made my journey so much more convenient. Previously, I had to travel to a different station to catch the train, but now I can board it right from my hometown. It has saved me a lot of time and effort. I appreciate the railway authorities for considering the needs of the passengers.”

Priya Sharma said, “The stoppage of the Dhanbad-Tatanagar Express at Santaldih station has been a game-changer for me. I commute between these two cities frequently for work, and having a direct train with a stoppage at my destination has made my travel hassle-free. I no longer have to rely on alternative modes of transport to reach my final destination. It’s a great initiative by the railways, and I hope more such stoppages are introduced on other routes as well.”
