Pupils learn democracy lessons in Tangrain school

Jamshedpur: The students of Upgraded Middle School, Tangrain, in Potka on Friday learnt lessons in democracy by participating in Bal Sansad (children�s parliament) elections. The students elected President, Prime Minister and various ministers by casting their votes through ballot papers.

The school teachers and managing committee members played the role of election duty officials in conducting the elections and counting the votes. The announcement of results was made by the school Headmaster Arbind Tiwary.

According to Tiwary, the oath-taking ceremony for the children�s parliament would take place on 8th May. Newly transferred teachers would also be felicitated on this day, he said.

The students elected today included Vimal Sardar, Pano Manjhi, Subal Munda, Chhita Tudu, Chandan Sardar, Meenu Sardar, Pinki Patar, Alopi Sardar, Ashita Sardar, Rajesh Sardar, Chand Sardar and Heera Manjhi.
