Punjabi Samaj’s tree plantation drive

Jamshedpur, June 13: Punjabi Samaj organized a tree plantation drive at Punjabi Samaj site at Golmuri Incab Road on Monday.

More than 100 saplings were planted on the occasion by members of Punjabi Samaj including R N Sharma, Prem Sehgal, Om Prakash Jaggi, Gian Taneja, Sanjeev Sehgal, Rajendra Sachdev, Yogesh Malhotra, Vinod Arora, Rajiv Talwar, Harsh Seth, Poonam Vig and others.

On the occasion, R N Sharma, said, “Punjabi Samaj is always at the fore front in commitment to society at large .We are committed to environment and very keen to maintain eco friendly environment. We have been regularly holding events like eye camp, blood donation camp, tree plantation, and health checkup camps both at Jamshedpur as well as Patamda.”

“We have more than 400 members who actively participate in various & cultural events organized by our samaj,” Sharma added.

Punjabi Samaj, Jamshepur, was formed in the year 1972 with the object and purpose to hold and promote the Punjabi culture, tradition, customs, ceremonies, functions and to support the community at large.
