Seraikela: A one-day seminar for farmers was organized at the single window centre of Seraikela block agriculture office on Thursday. The chief guest of the occasion was the district agriculture officer Ramchandra.
Addressing the farmers, Ramchandra said growing pulses may double the income of farmers in the state. He said the farmers should adopt latest scientific techniques to enhance productivity. He threw light on the ways to ensure better yield of arhar crop. He also informed the farmers about effective methods to ensure high yield of moong, urad and other pulses.
Single Window Coordinator Akash Kumar informed the farmers about crop insurance shceme, Kisan Credit Card, methods to prepare organic fertilizer and ways to ensure good yield of leguminous and oleaginous plants.
