Puja Kumari and Bundiram Deogam win Mini Marathon

Jamshedpur, Jan. 24: On the direction of Decency Ministry, government of India, a 5 km Mini Marathon was organized in City on Sunday.

The run was flagged off by State Food and Civil Supplies Minster Saryu Rai, DC Dr. Amitabh Kaushal, Sunil Bhaskaran, Vice-President Corporate Service, Tata Steel and other administrative officials from JRD Tata Sports Complex which traversed through Bag-E-Jamshed, Jubilee Park, Sacred Heart Convent ended at JRD Sports Complex.

At the marathon students of school-colleges, NCC, Women, senior citizens, police jawans participated. At the run a medical team and five ambulances were present.

In the girls category-Puja Kumari of Tata Training Centre was first, Basmati Soy of LBSM College was second while Paschhmi Munda of Women’s College was third.

In the boys category- Bundiram Deogam of Co-operative College was first followed by Rahul Kumar of Tata Training centre and Fagum Murmu of LBSM College.

In Young Boys- Mintu Yadav of Gurunanak High School was first, Narayan Purty of ADLS School was second while Ritesh Kumar Das of ADLS School was third.

In the young girls category-Diya Sonkar of Jamshedpur High School was first followed by Sheetal Kansi of Kendriya Vidyalaya and Sasturi Hansda of People’s Academy.
