Public utilities worth Rs 1.25 crore dedicated to Mango residents

Jamshedpur: State minister-cum-MLA of Jamshedpur West constituency Saryu Roy and the MP of Jamshedpur Vidyut Varan Mahato jointly announced the handing over of a host of civic amenities and public utilities for the people of Mango and Golmuri.

The projects completed at the initiative of the MLA and the MP duo are worth Rs 1.25 crore, sources said.
Roy informed that the facilities for the people of the constituency included the construction of 11 shades (bus stops) for passengers, six public urinals and two public toilets, installation of sign boards at 304 places, construction of deep boring well with installation of water tanks of 5000 litre capacity at 19 places and installation of LED bulbs at seven places.

Save for the project of construction of a public toilet near Machhua Toli near Workers’ College, all the projects are meant for Mango.

“These projects were planned for the development of Jamshedpur West constituency. The entire constituency has been put on the path of progress through these projects.

Keeping in mind the need for passenger shades, urinals, public toilets, road illumination and drinking water, we decided to go ahead with so many projects in one go. We sincerely hope that people will be greatly benefitted by the development which will continue to take place in the constituency,” said Roy.

The MP said the state government under the leadership of CM Raghubar Das was making every effort to provide best civic amenities to the people wherever they were needed. He said the projects were just the beginning of good days for the people. He said the people should take advantage of the schemes and projects being run by the BJP-led government.

The Jamshedpur West legislator said the people of Mango had to face much inconvenience while traveling in buses or auto rickshaws in the summer season or during rains.

This had led him to plan projects for the construction of 11 passenger shades. The construction of public urinals and toilets had been carried out under Rashtriya Swachata Mission, he said.
