Jamshedpur, Aug 14: Former BJP leader Vikas Singh has accused Deputy Municipal Commissioner Krishna Kumar of renting out a public toilet built under the Swachh Bharat Mission near Hathi Ghoda Temple on the Swarnarekha riverbank in Sakchi for personal gain.
Singh shared a video on social media, claiming a local resident was unable to use the facility due to its rental occupation and was forced to relieve himself by the river. The video has gone viral, although The Photon News has not verified its authenticity.
“This toilet was meant for public use, but has been handed over to a motor mechanic and a painter. Even the caretaker’s room is now being used for extra rent,” Singh alleged. He accused the official of tarnishing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a clean India and encouraging corruption for small monetary benefits.
