Jamshedpur, March 1: CII -YI – Team Masoom in association with Eylex and Big Bazaar endeavors to spread awareness about the issue of child sexual abuse through a public awareness campaign.
A press release issued by the organizations on Tuesday stated that young children suffering abuse from persons close to them undergo immense mental trauma. This issue is plaguing the entire world.
According to statistics, 53 percent children, both boys and girls, are victims of some form of child sexual abuse or the other; that is almost one in two children.
Public awareness event, a candle lighting and prayer service in honor and memory of all the children who suffer from psychological damage and physical trauma due to sexual abuse, will be held at Eylex, Big Bazaar compound in Mango from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on March 2.
