Ranchi: The Coal Ministry has asked the Public Sector Units having received coal block allotments to enter into a contract with the Centre.
The Ministry officials, in letters to the Chief Secretaries of Orissa, Bihar, Chhatisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, have said that these governments should ask the PSUs to enter contracts with the Central government.
It has also been said that these companies should set up special joint enterprise unit. The committee of the Coal Ministry has approved allotment of three coal blocks to the PSUs of the mining sector.
These coal blocks are included in the 17 mines that have been identified for allotment to the PSUs.
