Jamshedpur, March 22: Resident of Baghbera headed by Zila Parishad member Kishore Kumar Yadav protested outside the Jusco office demanding water supply through tankers in Baghbera and Kitadih areas.
The delegation including mukhiyas of gram panchayat of Baghbera submitted a letter addressed to Jusco MD Ashish Mathur.
On the occasion Yadav said, ‘Every year during summers Jusco and Tata Steel provided 10 tankers of water in Kitadih and Baghbera areas and this year on March 1 and2 water tankers were sent but from March 3rd the supply has been stopped.
There is huge crisis of water in the areas as water level has gone down 300-400 feet and several hand pumps have failed’, he added.
He urged the Jusco MD to provide 10 tankers of water every day by one week under CSR of the company otherwise panchayat representatives would be forced to gherao the Tata Steel gate.
At the event Jharna Mishra, Dhananjay Singh, Sunil Kumar and others were present.
