Protest against NRC near Jamshedpur’s Golmuri Masjid

Jamshedpur, Dec 27: The Muslim community members protested against the NRC and CAA today near the Golmuri Masjid after the Friday prayers. Led by Munna Ibrahim, the protesters carried posters and shouted slogans against NRC and CAA.

They accused the central government of using these ploys to deviate the attention of citizens from burning issues plaguing the country. They cited the example of Assam where there have been violent protests against the NRC. They also expressed the fear that the government was in the process of making a detention camp.

The protesters said that they were born in India and they were Indian nationals. They averred that they were ready to sacrifice their lives in order to maintain harmony in the country.
