Prohibition to continue at Kadma Ganesh Puja ground

Jamshedpur: The prohibitory orders have been continued once again at the Ganesh Puja ground in Kadma, Jamshedpur. The order issued by Sub-Divisional Officer Chandan Kumar states that Section-144 will continue to be applicable in one part of the grounds till the next order. Under this, any meeting, gathering, procession or demonstration etc. will be prohibited there. It is to be known that on 19 May 2008, the then MP Suman Mahato and the activists of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha tried to install the statue of the martyred MP Sunil Mahato. Due to this a law and order situation was created. In this case, the Jharkhand High Court ordered to maintain the status quo until further orders. As the next order of the Jharkhand High Court has not arrived, the Sub-Divisional Officer has since 23 August forwarded the injunction.
