Jamshedpur, Feb 19: The week-long campaign of Productivity Week 2021 organised by Tata Steel in February every year concluded on February 18, 2021. The productivity week started with the inauguration function on February 12, 2021. Various events like short video contest, online Quiz, Productivity Contest etc. were conducted over the past week under the theme ‘Productivity Enhancement Through Adoption of Agile Work Systems’.
Adopting the agility model of operation, this year, the celebration was conducted on a virtual platform.
In the valedictory function, the best performers of various events organised during the week were announced.
Probal Ghosh, Vice President (Shared Services), Tata Steel and Satish Kumar Singh, General Secretary, Tata Worker’s Union were the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively during the function.
Suresh BR, Senior Vice President and Country Head – HR, Bosch India, MRD Chandra Shekar, Secretary, All India INTUC & General Secretary, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana State Branch of INTUC and President, ITC Bollaram Union (Hyderabad) and Prof Kripa Shanker, Former Vice-Chancellor, Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow and Former Deputy Director, IIT Kanpur were the keynote speakers in the valedictory function.
Over the years, Productivity Services department has been organising several workshops, conferences, panel discussions and seminars to sensitise and disseminate information on the importance of productivity. These along with many other initiatives have helped the organisation in improving its overall productivity.
