Jamshedpur, Mar 26: The charges levelled against in-charge principal of Narsingharh Plus Two High School in Dhalbhumgarh, Gautam Kumar Laha has been found to be true by the trainee deputy collector Abhay Kumar Dwiwedi.
The in-charge principal had been accused of taking extra examination fees from students of class 10 and 12, trying to hide informations, felling of 12 trees in the school campus without permission and conducting financial irregularities.
The trainee deputy collector found during probe that the acting principal had taken Rs 100 each from two students though the amount has not been used so far, the account for bank is in the name of school managing committee president Moni Nayak whose tenure has ended in 2020, the charge of cutting trees without permission has also been found to be true.
However, it is not clear the amount of Rs 20,000 earned from the cutting of the 12 trees has been kept in which account and under what head.
The trainee deputy collector would be submitting the probe report to the East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Suraj Kumar.
Significantly, parents had lodged a complaint against the acting principal to the deputy commissioner and acting on the directive of deputy commissioner the probe was carried out.
