Jamshedpur, April 7: Priyaranjan was unanimously made president of Saraikela-Kharsawan Press Club at a meeting convened in the Forest Department Guesthouse at Kandra. A five member committee made the announcement. A coordination committee comprising senior journalist Sheik Alauddin, Pinaki Ranjan, Ravindra Singh, Dipak Daroga, Chandan Kumar, Mahanand Kumar and SN Dubey was also formed in the course of the meeting.
After long discussions and deliberations the executive body was formed during the meeting. With Priyaranjan as president the names of other office bearers were also announced. They included Bhagyasagar (general secretary), Upendra Mahto, Ganesh Sarkar and Sachindra Das (vice presidents), Bharat Singh (organization secretary), Manish (treasurer), Umakant Pradhan (assistant treasurer), Nirmal Acharya and Jalesh Kavi (legal advisors), Surendra Mardi, Lal Bahadur Shastri and Himanshu Gope (secretaries).
An 11 member executive committee was formed that included Manoj Swarnkar, Randhir, Ghulam Rabbani, Vinod Verma, Birendra Mandal and others. A steering committee comprising Sudhakar Jha, Pinaki Ranjan, SN Dubey, Pratap Mishra, Sheikh Alauddin, Ravindra Singh, Mrityunjay Burman, Mahanand Pradhan and Dipak Daroga was constituted. Ghulam Rabbani has been made the media in-charge.
