Jamshedpur: B Srinivas Rao of Press Trust of India was elected president of Press Club of Jamshedpur on Thursday.
He said he will make efforts to involve all journalists in the development of the Club. He said the new committee of the Club will be formed by 20th August.
A meeting of city journalists was held on the occasion at Nirmal Guest House. The meeting was conducted by photographer Ravi.
It was unanimously decided to unite under the banner of the Press Club of Jamshedpur for the collective benefit of all journalists.
It was also decided to make efforts to avail benefits of government schemes for journalists.
Among those present during the meeting included Brajesh Singh, Kaushal Kishore Singh, Shankar Agrawal, Anni Amrita, Sanjeev Bhardwaj, Adityanath Jha and Ajay Shankar.
