69 candidates including President Sanjeev Chaudhary elected unopposed in Tata Workers Union elections

Jamshedpur, Jan 27: The nomination submission date for the Tata Workers Union elections, scheduled for January 27, 2024, witnessed a total of 422 candidates submitting their forms. The election process commenced on January 25, 2024, with 441 candidates initially taking the forms. On that day, 56 candidates were declared unopposed.

On January 27, 2024, an additional 13 candidates were declared unopposed in the ongoing election process. The details of these 13 candidates are Sanjeev Kumar Chaudhary alias Tunnu Chaudhary (Lime Plant current president), Hemant Kumar (Lime Plant), J.P. Singh (Merchant Mill), Gunjan Verma (LD 2), Sanjay Kumar Singh (New Bar Mill), Sachidanand Sharma (Coke Plant), Shashibhushan Pingua (Coke Plant), Ramesh Chandra Jha (Coke Plant), Satish Kumar Sinha alias Bhola Singh (Sinter Plant), Shashikant Behera (LD3), Jaspal Singh (LD 1), Manoj Kumar Mishra (SMD) and Manoj Kumar Mishra (Tube Division).

This brings the total number of candidates declared unopposed to 69 – 56 on January 25, 2024, and an additional 13 on January 27, 2024. The executive committee of Tata Workers Union consists of 214 seats, and after the unopposed declarations, 145 seats will be contested by the remaining 422 candidates in the upcoming elections. The electoral process remains a significant event for the Tata Workers Union, reflecting the democratic engagement of its members.
