Jamshedpur: In a heartwarming gesture that moved hundreds of residents, President Droupadi Murmu stepped out of her convoy to greet the public in Baridih on Thursday. This spontaneous interaction occurred after she concluded her official engagements at the Manipal Tata Medical College.
A Surprise Encounter in Baridih
After performing the groundbreaking ceremony for the Shri Jagannath Spiritual Centre in Kadma, the President traveled to Baridih. As she prepared to leave the Manipal Tata Medical College campus, she noticed a massive crowd waiting eagerly behind security barricades.
In an unscheduled move, President Murmu ordered her convoy to a halt. She then stepped out of her vehicle and walked approximately 150 steps toward the cheering crowd. Consequently, the atmosphere turned festive as residents waved the tricolour and raised slogans of “Droupadi Murmu Zindabad.”
Joy for Children: The President Distributes Chocolates
The highlight of the interaction was the President’s focus on the youngest members of the crowd. Specifically, she spent time distributing chocolates to children lined up along the roadside.
