Set to Lay Foundation Stone for Spiritual Center
Jamshedpur: The Steel City is preparing for another prestigious national visit as President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to arrive on February 26, 2026. This visit comes exactly 58 days after her previous trip, sparking significant activity within administrative and social circles.
Foundation Laying and Bhoomi Pujan
The President will participate in the foundation stone-laying and Bhoomi Pujan ceremony of a new spiritual centre being constructed by the Sakchi Utkal Association. The centre is located on Marine Drive in Kadma. According to the itinerary, the President will first arrive in Ranchi via an Indian Air Force aircraft before departing for Jamshedpur by helicopter.
Second Visit in Short Succession President Murmu’s last visit to the city was on December 29, 2025, when she attended programs at the Karandih Jaherthan and the NIT Jamshedpur campus. The district administration has already shifted into high gear, intensifying security protocols and preparing the transit routes to ensure the ceremony proceeds smoothly.
