New Delhi, July 28 (IANS) President Pranab Mukherjee Monday congratulated Indian sports persons who Sunday won medals at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
The president congratulated Satish Sivalingam, Ravi Katulu, Punam Yadav, Shreyasi Singh and Asab Mohd., and wished them continued success in their future endeavours.
In individual letters, Mukherjee said India was proud of their achievement, “which has ensured that our flag will fly high in the international arena”.
In competitions Sunday, Sivalingam and Katulu won gold and silver, respectively, in 77 kg weight-lifting. Punam Yadav won a bronze in 63 kg weight-lifting, while shooters Shreyasi Singh and Asab Mohd. won silver and bronze in the women and men’s double trap events, respectively.
