Seraikela: Khunti MP Kariya Munda reviewed various development and welfare schemes being run in Seraikela-Kharsawan on Wednesday.
He asked the district administration authorities to prepare a list of villages where electricity had not reached as yet.
The list should be made available to the district administration so that power supply may be given to these villages, he said.
During the meeting, it was found that Rajnagar Plus Two Residential School did not have cooks. The director of ITDA Seraikela-Kharsawan was asked to conduct an inquiry to find out if there was provision for appointing cooks in the said residential school.
The MP also ordered the authorities concerned to send letters to the department concerned to ensure appointment of cooks as soon as possible.
Reviewing health services in the district, the MP expressed dissatisfaction over the pace of work being done in Rajnagar block.
He discussed issues related to alleged complaints regarding use of sub-standard construction material in building eight health centres in Seraikela. The health centre in Rajnagar had developed cracks on its walls, he said.
Munda advised all officials concerned to conduct surprise inspection of the construction sites to find out if the work quality was satisfactory or not.
The meeting was also attended by the deputy commissioner, deputy development commissioner, superintendent of police and other senior officials of various departments.
