Preparations done, polling parties reach 18 clusters in Potka

Jamshedpur, Dec 6: Preparations for second phase Assembly polls were completed in Potka constituency on Friday. The polling parties and security personnel reached the 18 clusters today. They will be leaving for their respective polling booths around 4 am tomorrow, sources said.

Sources said there are a total of 2.85 lakh voters in Potka who will decide the fate of nine candidates. There are 71,300 male voters and 73,700 female voters. As many as 3000 new voters have been added to the electoral roll. There are a total of 326 booths in the constituency, sources said.

Sources said the administration had arranged for 36 pick-up vans to carry 1572 differently-abled voters to the polling booths. These vehicles have been parked at the clusters. Doctors, paramedical staff and ANMs have also been deputed at the clusters.
