Jamshedpur, July 11: Classic Eight Sporting Club and Dalma Tiger shared the spoils in a thrilling 4-4 draw in the Premier Division match of the JSA Football League at JRD Tata Sports Complex on Friday.
Classic Eight looked set for victory after Gourav Mukhi scored a brilliant hat-trick in the 55th, 58th and 74th minutes. Aman Kumar extended the lead with the team’s fourth goal in the 85th minute.
Dalma Tiger, however, staged a remarkable comeback in the closing stages. Kalipada Singh Sardar scored twice in the 79th and 90th minutes, while Manik Mahato found the net in the 87th minute. Salkhan Manjhi scored deep into stoppage time to secure a dramatic 4-4 draw.
Super Division: Thakkar Bappa Club beat Jamshedpur Boys Club 4-2
In the Super Division match at Gopal Maidan, Thakkar Bappa Club defeated Jamshedpur Boys Club 4-2.
Abhishek Mukhi gave Thakkar Bappa an early lead in the sixth minute. Jamshedpur Boys Club fought back through Prince Hessa (28th) and Guru Chandra Hansda (40th) to lead 2-1 at halftime.
Thakkar Bappa dominated the second half as Rajaram Hansda equalised in the 65th minute. Jitte Mukhi scored five minutes later to make it 3-2 before Aman Hembrom sealed the victory with the fourth goal in the 73rd minute.
A Division: Smile Club and Ambedkar FC register convincing wins
In the A Division Group A match at Armoury Ground, Smile Club defeated Adivasi Development & Welfare Association 3-1. Pawan Purti opened the scoring in the sixth minute, Baburam Mardi doubled the lead in first-half stoppage time, and Samir Sundi made it 3-0 soon after the break. Sorup Murmu scored the only goal for the losing side.
In the Group B match at Tinplate Sports Complex, Ambedkar Football Club thrashed Vikas Samity 5-0. Bhagit Tudu scored the opener before Sandeep Soren netted a hat-trick. Shashi Kant Hansda also scored to complete an emphatic win.
