Pregnant woman among 3 test Corona positive in Ranchi, Jharkhand tally up to 110

Ranchi, April 30: Three more person tested positive for coronavirus in Jharkhand, taking the total number of cases to 110 in Jharkhand on Thursday, Health Secretary Nitin Madan Kulkarni  said.

�Two corona positive cases were reported from Ranchi’s Hindpiri including a pregnant woman while the third confirm case came from RIMS isolation ward. Total positive cases in Jharkhand has touched 110 while cases in Ranchi touched 81,� he said. Nitin Madan Kulkarni  informed that of 142 sample test on Thursday 139 cases were negative while three were positive. Till now four pregnant woman have tested corona positive in Jharkhand

Red Zone Ranchi has recorded 81 Corona positive cases while the COVID-19 cases in hotspot Hindpiri have jumped to 58 on Thursday.

Out of the total 110 positive cases so far, 81 are from Ranchi, 10 from Bokaro, three from Hazaribagh, Palamau and Garhwa, two each from Dhanbad, Deoghar, Jamtara and Simdega. 

One person each from Giridih and Koderma has also tested positive for coronavirus.

The 22-year-old Malaysian woman, the first coronavirus positive patient detected in the state on March 31 was discharged from RIMS on Friday after she recovered from the infection, according to Principal Secretary (Health) Nitin Madan Kulkarni. The woman was among the 17 foreign nationals found in a mosque at Hindpiri in Ranchi on March 29.

Twenty people tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday in Jharkhand, the highest single-day jump in the number cases yet, officials said. All the cases were reported from Ranchi. Earlier, sixteen people were tested corona positive on April 26 while April 18 saw single day jump of corona patient to eight.  In Ranchi five nurse of Sadar Hospital, a sanitation worker, a Lowadih resident and six from Hindpiri were tested postive for Coronavirus on Sunday.

Ten districts of Jharkhand have been affected from the deadly virus. Ranchi, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Giridih, Hazaribagh, Simdega, Garhwa, Palamau. Jamtara and Deoghar are the other affected districts.
