Jamshedpur, July 30: The annual prize night for juniors was organized at SDSM School For Excellence on Thursday.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was R.Ravi Prasad, President of Tata Workers� Union. Dy. President S.K.Choudhary, Tata Workers� Union and K.N.P.Singh, member of the school managing committee were also present. The programme began with a tribute to the former President Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam.
The Chief Guest addressing the gathering said that the future of the country belongs to the students and schools play a great role to provide a platform to nurture the young talents so that they can achieve their goals.
A series of cultural programme was staged by the students that included celebrating childhood, fusion dance dhamaka and the fairy tale Cinderella which were appreciated by all.
The students from Nursery to Std.V for the session 2014-2015 were awarded for their performances in academics, discipline, attendance and all round performance by the Chief Guest. The Principal�s award was given to Preetam Kundu of class V-A.
The Principal of the school Mrs. Shyamali Virdi appreciated the students for their achievements and said that it is the responsibility of the teacher to mould the students into better human beings and stressed upon value education.
The programme was successfully conducted under the supervision of Mrs. Meera Pal, Co-ordinator of Pre-Primary Section. All the teachers, various staff members, students and parents were present on this occasion.
