Prayers offered to Goddess Kali at Kadma Sati Ghat

Jamshedpur, Oct 25: Kali Puja was organized at Kadma Sati Ghat on the banks of Kharkai River under the aegis of Kadma Jogmaya Kali Temple. Prayers that commenced from 7 pm on Monday were performed by the head priests of Kadma Jogmaya Kali Temple the Kamakhya and Tarapeeth Tantra Sadhana Siddha Jyotish Acharya Prajesh Bhattacharjee alias Buroda and Kamakhya-Tarapeeth-Rajarappa  SiddhaTantra Sadhak Nitha Baba. Among the devotees who offered prayers participated in Pushpanjali, Aarti and partook of the Mahaprasad along with the huge crowd of devotees. Among those present during the prayers were Ghatshila MLA Ramdas Soren, DTO Jamshedpur Dinesh Ranjan and several others. Both the priests stated that soul was not sacrificed but only the body is burnt in the funeral pyre.

Despite this, the form of complete Sati is worshiped with sixteen adornments.
