Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum district administration is all set to launch a campaign for the admission of children in government and government-aided schools under “Praveshotsava 2017’ campaign.
The drive would continue for a month during which children would be admitted to different schools across the district. This was informed on Saturday by the deputy collector of Chief Minister’s Camp Office Sanjay Kumar.
Kumar said the purpose of the campaign was to increase the total number of enrollments in the district schools and provide an opportunity to children to continue their studies.
In connection with the campaign, Kumar visited the office of the district education officer (DEO) Rajkumar Prasad Singh and sought information about basic infrastructure, results and other aspects of education in the government and government-aided schools.
The DEO assured Kumar of every possible help in making the campaign a grand success. He said that various awareness programmes would be organized in the schools to promote the ‘School Chale Abhiyan’.
The deputy collector said there was need to publicize the good results of government schools and make people aware about the basic infrastructure available in these schools so that more and more children get admission every year. He said the social media should also be used for publicity by the government schools.
