Jamshedpur, July 18: Tarapore School organised Inter House Chess Tournament on Monday, July 17 in the school premises. The event was inaugurated by Ishita Dey, Principal of Tarapore School.
A total of 21 students showcased their strategic prowess in chess, with 10 participants in the Senior category and 11 participants in the Junior category. The thrilling competition consisted of five rounds, making it a rapid tournament.
In the Senior category, Pratyush Naman of Garnet House emerged as the winner, Kushagra, from Garnet House, displayed a commendable performance and stood as the Runners-Up. The third position was claimed by Rajanya Raj Suryavanshi from Jade House,
The Junior category witnessed Debrup Majumdar of Amber House as the triumphant winner with an outstanding performance. Eshani Choudhury of Jade House displayed remarkable talent, as the Runners-Up and Prakhar Srivastava from Turquoise House earned the 3rd position in the Junior category.
Kaushal Singh, Inter House Sporting Event in-Charge, Manish Kumar Administrative Head-Activity, and FA Chandan Kumar Prasad, the Chief Arbiter ensured the tournament went on successfully.
