Jamshedpur/Ranchi, May 31: Prashant Anand has been appointed the new City SP of Jamshedpur. 2013 batch IPS officer Anand was earlier posted as Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Hatia. Chandan Jha, who was the City SP of Jamshedpur has been transferred to SP Gumla.
State government on Tuesday transferred Superintendent of Police (SP) of three districts of Jharkhand. SP of Hazaribagh, Gumla and Dumka. Former SP of Ranchi has been made the Dumka SP. For the first time SP (City and Rural) will be posted at Dhanbad. Government also transferred 15 Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
BN Singh, DSP in Jamshedpur has been transferred to CID while Vimal Kumar, the JAP 5 official has been transferred to Jamshedpur.
