Jamshedpur: The 421st first Prakash Purab of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was celebrated with deep devotion and reverence at the Burmamines Gurudwara, where members of the Sikh community from across the region joined in the celebrations. The occasion was marked by traditional prayers, kirtan, and the spirit of collective faith that brought together devotees in large numbers.
Granthi Iqbal Singh of Burmamines Gurudwara, who has served with dedication for the last 25 years, was specially honored on this occasion along with his wife Bibi Kuldeep Kaur and sons Rampreet Singh and Gurpreet Singh. The Sangat and the Gurudwara Committee felicitated them with a symbol of honor, praise, and Siropa for their selfless service.

This compilation was installed in Shri Harimandir Sahib (Golden Temple), Amritsar, on September 1, 1604, and has since been celebrated as ‘Pehla Prakash Parv’. Later, in 1708, Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj bestowed the eternal Guruship upon Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
The atmosphere at the Gurudwara resonated with spirituality as Bhai Rampreet Singh and Bhai Gurpreet Singh performed soulful kirtan, adding devotion to the sacred gathering. Following the prayers, langar prasad was served to all devotees in the traditional spirit of seva and equality.
