Power Grid conferred with �Public Service Excellence Award 2014

New Delhi : R. N. Nayak, CMD, Power Grid Corporation has been awarded with �Public Service Excellence Award 2014� for his exemplary leadership and for contributing immensely to the societal issues at a glittering ceremony at New Delhi. The award was received by Shri Atul Trivedi, General Manager I/C (ESMD & CSR), POWERGRID on behalf of Shri R. N. Nayak.

India�s premier MBA School, New Delhi Institute of Management honored the CMD, Power Grid Corporation based on research done by its students and Faculty into the CSR spends of various PSUs. Power Grid Corporation has been awarded for education- setting up computer labs, library etc. in schools in addition to providing computers, desks & benches, books etc, sponsorship to students, mid-day meals- 397 primary and 196 upper primary schools are covered, assistance to slum-dwellers children, maternal and child healthcare services, health clinics in 15 villages, infrastructure, roads, capacity building etc.
