Jamshedpur, Oct. 23: With Deepawali days, Potters on Sunday took out a rally to protest against the use of Chinese lights during the festival, at Kalikapur under Potka block of East Singhbhum district.
The rally was was aimed at making the people aware of the use of earthen lamps instead of Chinese made lights. The rally was taken out by YuvaKumar Samiti, East Singhbhum. The people present in the rally encouraged the potters and shouted slogans �Hamara Desh, Hamara Diya�.
They appealed to boycott every Chinese product where Niranjan Bhagat, member of the Samiti, said potters can prosper only if we Indian use the earthen utensils and diyas whereas Chinese products will take the money out of our country.
He further said that potters only earn Rs 2000 per month as they have lost their income to chinese products. On the occasion Samiti members Dhruv Jyoti Bhagat, Navranjan Bhagat, Prashant Bhagat, Devashish Bhagat, Manoj Bhagat, Abhishek Bhagat, Alok Ranjan, Deepankar Bhagat, Bhaskar Pal, Jaydev Bhagat, Govind Bhagat and others were present at the rally.
