Jamshedpur, Feb 13: Sitaramdera thana police has paste a poster of absconding at the ancestral house of CRPF jawan Vikram Singh in Kaler village under Magadh Medical thana area in Gaya district of Bihar for not marrying a girl even after taking a dowry of Rs 12 lakh.
The poster warns that if the CRPF jawans does not deposes before the court in Jamshedpur then they would initiate proceeding of attachment of properties. An arrest warrant has been issued by the Jamshedpur court against Vikram Singh and his father Chandrasekhar Singh. The jawan has been posted at Khunti in CRPF 9 battalion. The police team also went to Khunti but could not find the jawan there too.
According to report, Jharkhand police constable Ravinder Singh, posted in Sitaramdera TOP had entered into negotiation for marriage of his daughter Riju Kumari with Vikram Singh and the engagement was held on March 2020 and marriage date was kept on September 9, 2020. However, the bridegroom decided to postpone the date to December and the bridal party arranged all things as per schedule including booking of halls, restaurants and music party. The bridegroom also took cash of Rs 12 lakh and continued to dilly dallying over the dates in December too and then refused to marry. They also refused to return the dowry amount which led to the girl’s father lodging a complaint at the Sitaramdera thana after which arrest warrant was issued against the CRPF jawan and his father.
